Standard (KWN) 0-1/2” Grip Wing-Nut Clecos / Skin Pins. Color: Copper Diameter: 1/4” Drill Size: 1/4”
Standard (KWN) 0-1/2” Grip Wing-Nut Cleco Fastener Description
The wing-nut standard (KWN) series is a hand operated clamp with a wide range of grip force. It is best suited for low-production settings where additional tools (pliers, wrenches, ratchets, etc.) are not required. This allows for application in areas with limited space. The ‘free-wheeling’ wing-nut is easy to grip and will back completely off while still remaining intact with the body. Clamping force ranges from 12-300 lbs making it suitable for all types of metallic and composite materials.
The cleco fastener (sometimes spelled cleko), also known as a skin pin, is a fastener that was originally developed by the Cleveland Pneumatic Tool Company.
Cleco fasteners are widely used in the manufacture and repair of aluminum-skinned aircraft and in automotive repair, where they are used to temporarily fasten multiple sheets of material together before the pieces are permanently joined.
